The concept of Deny Conformity came from Shauvon's terrible days in high school, where he felt forced to live in someone elses shoes. He refused, and created his "slogan" as a way to justify his somewhat peculiar nature. Shauvon hopes that through this site others will find the determination to deny conformity as well.

Shauvon McGill created the site during the summer of 2005, and it went online on September 12, 2005.
